ZIGGY CHEN SS21 'COLLAGEMORY'

CollageMory is an imaginative term in which memory and the artistic technique of collage meet and become the inspiration and constituent element of the collection.

Ziggy Chen, a great travel enthusiast and meticulous collector of images, has taken the images during his Exploration trip to Varanasi Mix and Juxtapose in 2017. For CollageMory, Ziggy experimented with the technique of imprinting photographic collages on fabrics. The pictures are arranged on fine linen and cotton fabrics made in Italy exclusively for the SS21 Ziggy Chen collection.

Ziggy Chen SS21 CollageMory consists out of fresh and light fabrics of natural fibers, such as Cotton, linen, ramie, hemp. Combined with viscose and manmade fibers to give brightness and a particular hand to the texture of the clothes. The color palette arranges from olive green, grass green, gray-green all with a slight patina that simulates the passage of the years and Beige and brown tones that typify ancient wood.
