As the Autumn Winter 2024 collection is hitting the stores, we wanted to dive deeper into the winter’s take of Lauren Manoogian. Specializing in knits, the winter seasons are always special from Lauren Manoogian, as it is their bread and butter. And this collection presents a masterful exploration of contrast and transformation, blending everyday gestures with intricate textile manipulation. 

Lauren Manoogian knows how to play a delicate balancing act, where Manoogian’s vision fuses elegance with practicality, and comfort merges seamlessly with high fashion. Rooted in the concept of "soft utility," the collection blurs the lines between interior and exterior dressing. Outerwear and knitwear are thoughtfully reimagined with a subtle twist—quilted woven styles find new life in knit versions, while the softest baby alpaca, cashmere, and pima cotton blends offer a tactile richness that feels at once luxurious and comforting.

"We wanted to create pieces that not only elevate the everyday but also blur the lines between traditional concepts of comfort and luxury," explains Manoogian.

This ethos is woven throughout the collection, which was showcased in a unique setting: the designer's forthcoming flagship store in Soho. The store’s construction and the collection were developed in tandem, each informing and influencing the other. This symbiotic relationship is apparent in the way the clothes resonate with the space, where architecture and apparel coalesce.

Standout pieces include heat-pressed silver foil car coats, which echo the exposed building components of the store, and painter sets sewn with the precision reminiscent of plaster workers’ uniforms. 

In essence, the AW24 collection embodies a quiet evolution of the label, both in design but also in the debut of their flagship store. Lauren Manoogian challenges how we perceive comfort, utility, and luxury—capturing the essence of effortless elegance in motion, and we are loving it.
