BACKSTAGE AT ZIGGY CHEN FW24 DECADENTIMENT

Ziggy Chen masterfully intertwines themes of "Sentiment" and "Decadence" to introduce his innovative concept of "DECADENTIMENT," a captivating fusion of nature and urban elements reflected in captivating hues such as moss green, lime, grey-blue, and red. Zlata Lisová, our talented photographer, provided an exclusive look behind the scenes at Ziggy Chen's latest runway showcase, capturing the essence of the Fall/Winter 2024-25 collection.

Drawing inspiration from the 80s, Chen's designs seamlessly blend military motifs with Southeast Asian influences, showcasing a rich array of materials including wool, cotton, and linen, complemented by unexpected choices like knit cotton, denim, corduroy, and velvet. Notably, the collection introduces two striking collaboration glasses with Rigards.

In a departure from his signature deconstructed and patchwork styles, Chen presents a refined yet subtly intricate collection, emphasizing meticulous detailing and precise cuts.

While the runway presentation offered only a glimpse of these meticulous details, Zlata's backstage lens & Ruben Hilkens runway photography provided a closer examination. Notably, one standout feature is the mesmerizing "Lumped" pattern, adorning blazers, trousers, coats, and dresses with its asymmetrical cuts and intentionally imperfect aesthetic.
