Wales Bonner shows her continued eagerness for new perspectives and inspiration. Where we commonly see sportive/chic looks at Bonner, this collection leans more towards college/chic; the result of Bonner spending significant time in the US and her profound inspiration from Black universities from the 90’s. 

 “Dream Study” is the title of the new collection, and is filled with characteristics from US universities like varsity jackets, Howard college jumpers, and wide-cut pants. Bonner is connecting dots in the fashion industry which create significant impact, her long-lasting collaboration with Adidas and Anderson & Sheppard are providing a good base where she can project her newly found inspiration.

Not to forget, Yassin Bey, also known as Most Def was effortlessly performing during the show, rising unannounced from the public and taking the stage. I find it also worth mentioning that Wales Bonner constantly delivers with her collection videos, encapturing and adding more feeling to the collection by using cinematic tools and archive videos.
