Noir Kei Ninomiya Ready-To-Wear PFW FALL24

The show opened with a comedic American auction-like voiceover announcing the looks by number. As the collection was titled Iridescence, color was certainly expected. Let's talk about Noir Kei Ninomiya's surrealistic show!

As the looks walked in, the voice-over became more and more distorted. Complimented with brutal sound design the audience gets the feeling of entering a new world. Ninomiya elaborated that she wanted to experiment with new colors, textures, and light, we saw this already at the first 7 looks, and as they toned down and the distortion of the narrator became inaudible, we entered a new stage. Vibrant orange tones with an often-returning quilted long skirt set the tone, developing with psychedelic-like colored overdresses. 

The show is definitely worth a watch, and it is extremely satisfying to see Ninomiya explore new routes within her design.
