ISENTMESSAGE SS22 "Regards"
There’s a new brand in town, and it’s called ISENTMESSAGE. Founded by South Korean designer Jeong Young Seok who’s based in Tokyo, Japan, the label centres around comfort beauty, and its aim is to take classic favourites to the next level by injecting them with modern modifications.
Handcrafting processes
Their Spring/Summer 2022 collection comprises pantsuits and an array of knitwear that highlights the brand’s signature hand-knit details. It’s important to note that the knitted pieces in the line-up are hand-knitted using natural yarns by Jeong himself, whereas the all-white fabrics are 100% undyed rayon, which is comfortable and cooling on the skin.
Another prop to note, is the dark khaki wool/linen fabric, which was treated by Jeong throughout the seasons for a year and a half, resulting in a one-of-a-kind natural texture.
Titled ‘Regards’, ISENTMESSAGE’s message is sent and clear — the word, which can be defined as best wishes or attention to something, is used to respect every single being’s existence and differences, all while uniting them through fashion.
SS22 Regards through the lens of Corey David Fuller
For SS22 Regards, ISENTMESSAGE tapped musician and multimedia artist Corey David Fuller as the art director and photographer for the SS22 lookbook. Having listened to Fuller’s album ‘Break’ while working on the project, Jeong wanted the musician to infuse the ambient of ‘Break’ into the project, and have him interpret the brand’s visual identity through his lens.
