INSIDE ESSAPMI

Although digital shopping has become the new normal, offline shopping still takes the edge when talking about perceiving the full experience. From visiting an artisanal boutique, feeling the fabrics and fitting the garments, to hearing background stories about the constructions and designers, offline shopping within artisanal fashion remains the well preferred choice by many.

ESSAPMI, Lyon based Avant-Garde boutique

Especially with artisanal fashion, the experience and understanding of Avant-Garde fashion is often accentuated by the service, aura, interior and ensembles of the boutique. Lyon based Avant-Garde fashion boutique, ESSAPMI proposes the work from elite artisanal designers in the most artistic and authentic way. The whole architectural space of the store is designed by their team, from their furniture to sculptures, objects and artefacts, everything is hand-crafted in house to enable the artisanal philosophy of crafters like Geoffrey B. Small, Boris Bidjan Saberi, Ziggy Chen, DEEPTI to be portrayed in the most distinctive manner. Furthermore, you can find stints of the likes of Rick Owens, Jan-Jan van Essche, Hoka One One, Rigards and Guidi in their boutique as well.

Philosophy

ESSAPMI works out of the philosophy that garments transcends the boundaries of gender difference to where garments can be worn by Men and Women in the same way. This divergent vision reflects back in their selection, where they offer the same garments in different sizes for the feminine and masculine body.

"The parquet creaks, it erodes. Tired of the comings and goings of trends. It starts with a curtsy. The testimony of a particular look at baroque pieces. Everyone is dancing around Trame. By rejection of conformism, they prefer emotion, perception. The clothes are the actors of this piece. They promote irregularity and paradox, a complex, multi-faceted creation that provokes illusion. The illusion of an ideal world. The theatrical representation of a poetic universe. The scenes take place in the lively dead end of 8 rue du Plâtre. These very special actors invite you to give it a try. To move with them. Turn on stage, admire the rendering."
