A visit to the Rigards showroom in Paris

During the last SS24 menswear fashion week, we visited Rigards, a renowned eyewear designer that has won multiple awards such as the Silmo and Red dot awards.

After a few years' absence from Paris, Rigards returned with an intimate showroom showcasing their illustrious history as an artisanal eyewear label. Stepping into the showroom felt like entering a mini museum, where a timeline of their journey since inception was displayed, accompanied by a selection of their finest creations.

Rigards takes pride in producing eyewear of unparalleled quality, using materials such as genuine horn, copper, aluminum, wood, and titanium for their frames. What sets them apart is their dedication to preserving the traditional craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail, a rarity in today's eyewear industry—a distinctive feature that captivates fashion enthusiasts.

Notably, one of Rigards' recent collaborations was with Boris Bidjan Saberi, resulting in the creation of the RG1011BS model. 

Upon experiencing the eyewear in person, we were impressed with the elegance of the pieces, which came beautifully encased, allowing the option to keep the side clip-on attached.

Besides an incredibly high standard for their eyewear, Rigards is also known for collaborating with various great artisans in the industry such as; Ziggy Chen, Uma Wang and The Viridi-Anne.

LUCENTEMENT x RIGARDS

In 2022, LUCENTEMENT and Rigards also worked on a collaboration of their signature Mad Scientist model. This special piece of RG0105TI LUCENTEMENT SE was limited to 10 pairs and individually numbered per pair. Sold out within 24 hours.
