Rigards x Boris Bidjan Saberi collaboration

RIGARDS,  the leading eyewear artisan, has recently announced their collaboration with renowned German-Persian designer Boris Bidjan Saberi in the new RG1011BS. This new design is centered around the aviator-style frame, which is synonymous to the style of Boris Bidjan Saberi, with an emphasis on creating a lightweight, universally-fitting design made entirely from premium-grade titanium.

Introducing the RG1011BS

The RG1011BBS is the stunning outcome of the collaboration between RIGARDS and Boris Bidjan Saberi. This frame is a true masterpiece, boasting an intricate blend of "imperfect perfection" and surgical precision that is sure to impress.

With a charming yet flattering circular design, the aviator silhouette has been reimagined and enhanced by multidimensional crescent half-moon shapes that anchor the frame corners. The result is a uniquely characterful design that is sure to capture the attention of any fashion enthusiast seeking eyewear that stands out from the crowd.

Detachable shields

The side-shields provide both physical and metaphorical fortification, carved to resemble contour-molded body armor with debossed grooves traced with slender cutouts nodding to Saberi's symbolic affinity for the number eleven. The design exudes a futuristic cyber-organic feel and subtly recalls ancient insect exoskeletons. Functionality was a top priority in the shields' design, with every aspect carefully considered for technical soundness. The shields are detachable and can be worn as pendants when reattached to a necklace chain (sold separately).

Hand-finished elements

RIGARDS has added their signature 'Time Machine' hand-finishing to the frame and shields, creating a unique weathered patina that evokes a sense of timeless beauty and invites reflection on the nature of imperfection.

The RG1011BBS will be released in June 2023 and will be available in five exquisite colors. Each pair of glasses comes with two sets of ZEISS lenses, giving the wearer the flexibility to switch between Dark Gray and Light Gradient Gray to match any occasion. The glasses also come with a glasses case crafted from vegetable-tanned Santa Croce leather, adding a touch of luxury and sophistication to the collection.

In 2022, LUCENTEMENT and RIGARDS also worked on a collaboration of their signature Mad Scientist model. This special piece of RG0105TI LUCENTEMENT SE was limited to 10 pairs and individually numbered per pair. Sold out within 24 hours.
