Lauren Manoogian FW25

Lauren Manoogian FW25: A quiet introduction to Menswear

There’s something deeply calming about a Lauren Manoogian collection. The kind of calm that doesn’t ask for attention but lingers with you, quietly. When we walked through the FW25 presentation, we couldn't help but notice that, for the first time, Manoogian introduced menswear.

Not with fanfare or sharp tailoring, but with the same textural layering and soft restraint that defines her womenswear. It felt less like an expansion, more like a natural evolution. Lauren Manoogian’s approach remains so rooted in process. Everything starts with yarn.

Hand-twisted, naturally dyed, and developed in Peru, where she works closely with indigenous artisans. From fiber to fabric to final garment, the collection reads like a meditation on material. That connection is tangible in the pieces, you feel their intention.

Woven cotton designed to resemble denim. It looks sturdy from afar, but when you touch it, it’s surprisingly soft. It’s a small moment, but it encapsulates her approach, illusion, texture, care. Furthermore, the story of “zoomed-in” cable knit really caught our attention. Inspired by traditional knit patterns, it’s been reworked and magnified, turning something familiar into something quietly abstract. That sense of reinterpretation runs through the collection, never loud, always intentional.

One of the more technical elements this season was her use of hand-twisting elements, which appeared in dresses, beanies and even leather. There’s nothing easy about that technique, especially when aiming for uniformity across materials. Yet it all looked effortless. The color palette stays true to the design language of Manoogian, from husk, oak, tobacco, espresso to champagne. The way Lauren present her work is as carefully constructed as the clothes, a runway that was filmed inside Manoogian’s New York store using vintage-style equipment, with no post-editing. Every frame felt tactile and personal. This season didn’t feel like a shift with the menswear, but rather a deepening of her vision.  It’s all part of her universe.
