KLASICA - FALL WINTER 23 NIGHT LANDS EDITORIAL

Klasica Fall Winter 23 collection is named Night Lands. Night Land is a reference to the highway at night. The yellow light, dark asphalt road and the shadow of roadside trees form a quiet and comfortable symphony.

In this season's collection, designer Kohei Kawamura selected a variety of wool and cotton fabrics for his autumn and winter garments.

In this collection, the designer explored and produced a range of fascinating materials, including compression wool gabardine. This fabric has a dynamic shine that changes under different lighting conditions, such as indoor light and sunlight.

Additionally, the collection features a reproduction glen check fabric, which is crafted with a special weaving technique that gives it a distinct crisscross interwoven texture. The designer also used a high-twist wool with alternating stripes and a variety of other materials, including sulfur-dyed cotton moleskin, cotton silk nep old face, black-printed wool alpaca pile, SP100 aviator melton, and a heavy-weight tweed buffalo check.

To uncover the unique qualities of the fabrics used in this collection, one must take a closer look and touch the garments. By observing the details carefully, the intricate details of the fabrics will become apparent, just as the beauty of the heritage of Japan can only be fully appreciated through understanding and experiencing the context.

Like the fabrics, the designer's handling of buttons is also very unique. When you touch any button, you will find that every moment is different. The designer nails them by hand on the coat one by one, which is very crafty.

It is worth mentioning that we found a cute kitten graffiti on the corner glass of the showroom. Kohei Kawamura told us that it was painted on the glass by him. In front of the glass, he also brought fragrances from Japan, which made the whole showroom full of Japanese tranquility and elegance.

Kohei Kawamura also showed us a knitted children's sweater. He said that the inspiration for the beige knitted sweater for this season came from that children’s sweater.
