The most recognizable artisanal sneaker ever made; Yes, we are talking about the infamous drip sneaker made by Carol Christian Poell. Probably everyone who saw this for the first time asked theirselves: How could you possibly walk on these?
A brilliant concept and even better execution: After these leather sneakers are crafted, the soles will be immersed into a molded rubber composition bath. This treatment gives the shoes literally a dripped aesthetic because of the dried rubber spikes.
When walking in these over time, the rubber will erode and eventually fade the spikes away. If you're afraid to wear them because of this, we may set you at rest with the fact that the shoes can be re-dripped at the facility of CCP. After, you can decide whether you will wear them again or use it as a 3D art object in your living room.
Below you will find the rare collection of Chenhao Li (@Choooklee).
